To coincide with the spookiest time of the year, Microgaming decided to release two new Halloween themed mobile slots including What a Hoot and Halloweenies and these HTML5 slots can now be found at various Microgaming and Spin3 powered mobile casinos.
“We recognise the importance of not only providing fresh and regular new content, but also timely content, which will spark interest from our operators’ players. Halloweenies and What a Hoot are two perfect additions to the HTML5 platform; these new slots, which are fully compatible with iOS7, will allow our operators to form exciting promotions and marketing campaigns for Halloween,” said Microgaming’s Head of Product Channels, Neill Whyte.
We also recently wrote a news piece about another brand new vampire themed slot machine called Vampire’s Embrace which was developed by a software company called WMS Gaming. We then started wondering exactly how many other horror inspired slot machines might actually be available online today. We ended up finding lots.
These two new mobile slots from Microgaming are also available on desktop and they can be found at approximately 100 different Microgaming powered casinos. However, their most successful horror inspired slot machine isn’t Halloweenies or What a Hoot. Their most impressive and most popular title is one called Immortal Romance, which many of you may already be familiar with.
This particular slot has a fantastic bonus feature called the Chamber of Spins (which basically consists of four different Free Spins modes) and multiple entries into this bonus feature can be extremely rewarding.
We then decided to take a look at what Playtech has managed to develop and we came across several great titles such as Haunted House and Halloween Fortune, but their most popular horror inspired slot machine has to be one called Blade. This fantastic slot is connected to the Marvel Multi-Level Progressive Jackpot.
We then began searching much deeper and found several other horror themed slots. Most of them contain characters similar to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Others have ghosts, zombies, werewolves or monsters and some of them contain all of these creepy characters.
If you enjoy playing on this small selection, you may also want to check out some other great Halloween inspired slot machines such as Reel Blood from Realtime Gaming (RTG), Bitten from IGT Interactive, Blood Suckers from Net Entertainment (NetEnt), The Ghouls from Betsoft Gaming, a Nightmare on Elm Street and Bloodlines (both from 888 software), Haunted Mansion from NYX Gaming, Vampires Vs. Werewolves from Amaya Gaming, Blade from Cryptologic and Scary Rich, Scary Rich 2 and Scary Rich 3 from Rival.
