Microgaming really is pulling out all the stops in 2014. Just one week after this software giant announced that it had obtained a licensing agreement with Studiocanal to develop an online slot based on the blockbuster sci-fi movie, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the company has just announced that it has also signed an agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing to develop three new online slots based on the Jurassic Park Franchise.
“Jurassic Park is a seminal movie - its stunning visual effects and computer-generated imagery set a new benchmark in the industry,” said the Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever. He then added, “It’s a film that we can draw parallels from in terms of our game creation and our aim to deliver the most visionary and imaginative gaming experiences to the end player. The Jurassic Park brand is legendary, and our game development team is busy creating an all-mighty slot for release later in the year.”
Microgaming plans to unveil this new online slot at stand number N11 – 120, at this year’s ICE Totally Gaming which is being held at London’s ExCel centre between 4th – 6th February. This isn’t the only epic new slot that Microgaming will be showcasing. Microgaming plans to launch the Avalon 2 slot immediately after unveiling it at this year’s ICE event, but the new Terminator 2 slot won’t be available in casinos until this summer. Jurassic Park fans can also look forward to release of this new slot in the summer as well and then because the new license includes the trilogy, you can also look forward to even more Jurassic Park themed slots in the future. These others will include The Lost World: Jurassic Park (which was originally released in 1997) and Jurassic Park lll (2001).
