Microgaming has developed a non-downloadable platform known as Quickfire and on this platform you can find impressive gaming content, not just from Microgaming, but also from various other upcoming game developers. In October 2014, Microgaming announced that it had signed an agreement with new partner Betdigital.
Betdigital (betdigital.net) established itself as a developer of online casino gaming content in 2011 and their games are supplied to various platforms including interactive TV, online and mobile, and also for land-based gaming platforms (such as Fixed Odds Betting Terminal Machines).
This emerging game developer has produced several entertaining games, mainly slots, and some of their flagship titles include Fantastic Fruits, Caesars’s Palace and Superpots Bar-X™. Some of their other top titles include game such as Magic Multiplier Bar-X™, Big Money Bingo, Royal Gems, Shamrock Surprise, City of Gold, Turbo Fruits and Big Money Bingo.
This new arrangement between Betdigital and Quickfire will see the Betdigital’s top-performing titles arrive online over the next few months and they will be made available over an instant flash casino platform and also on mobile (HTML5 format). The first Betdigital game to arrive on the Quickfire platforms will arrive towards the end of 2014. This first title to arrive will instantly become widely available across Quickfire’s vast network of gambling portals.
“Quickfire, powered by Microgaming, adds specialised, third party gaming content, to deliver the most extensive range of games to operators. We're delighted Betdigital wanted to work with Quickfire to bring their land-based titles online; they'll be a popular and strategic addition to the platform,” said the Head of Product Channels at Microgaming, Neill Whyte.
Players who are signed up to a Quickfire powered gambling portal can generally find more than 400 different online casino games and some of the most famous games include ground-breaking titles such as The Dark Knight Rises, Thunderstruck II, Playboy, Tomb Raider 2, Avalon 2, Immortal Romance, Jurassic Park, Hitman and High Society.
Also speaking about this new partnership was the Betdigital CEO, Heath Samples, “Adding our content to the Quickfire platform will significantly strengthen our position in the marketplace. It enables us to work with Quickfire's vast customer base and deliver our content to an entirely new audience. At Betdigital we want to work with the best - that's why we chose Quickfire.”
Betdigital’s GRID (Game Rapid Integration & Development) System and SystemX is recognised in the gaming industry as the first true cross-platform gaming engine and it allows third parties and developers of online gaming content to introduce their games to the land-based gaming market. Some of the major UK brands where players can also now find Betdigital games include sites such as Gala Coral, William Hill and Ladbrokes.
