The International Gaming Expo (IGE) is a major event for the gambling industry, including the online gambling industry. It is being held Earl’s Court in London from the 27th of January to the 29th of January. The IGE is the largest world class gaming show under one roof. It brings together exhibitors, buyers and even casual visitors for an exposition of the latest products in the gambling market place. Not only that, new business relationships are forged, new deals entered into and differences ironed out during this event. The IGE 2009 is expected to draw over 25,000 visitors.
The new products on display at IGE 2009 will include gaming equipment, accessories and furniture, money handling equipment, security and surveillance equipment, management systems and online gaming systems. Wager Works is one of the online gaming software developers that have announced that it will launch new games during the IGE. Two of the games are online versions of the land based slot games “Dungeons and Dragons: Fortress of Fortune” and “Battleship: Search and Destroy”.
The IGE will be preceded by the International Casino Conference (ICC) in the 26th of January. The ICC is being sponsored by Clarion Gaming and the European Casino Association. This year the ICC plans to cover the following issues: the latest developments in the European regulatory landscape, a new Responsible Gambling tool for operators, fact and fiction about money laundering through online casinos, latest trends in player loyalty programs, preview of the technology on display at the IGE and a prognosis of the future of the gambling industry. The conference will take place from 1pm to 6 pm and will be followed by the ICC Networking Party at G Casino’s stunning Piccadilly venue. On behalf of the European Casino association Ron Goudsmit has extended an invitation to the international casino community to participate in this important forum for discussion and networking. He said. “We believe that the time is right for a high-level conference tailored specifically to the needs of the casino industry…”
The IGE will be having their own party for delegates visiting the exposition. The Fire & Ice party will be held on the 28th of January, 2009 at Camden’s Gilgamesh lounge. The event is being produced by Lyceum Media and sponsored by a galaxy of online gambling stars that include Asian Logic, Cryptologic, The Cake Poker Network and Bluff Europe. The Gilgamesh lounge exhibits the feel of Ancient Babylon with hand-crafted furniture and bronze panels telling the story of Gilgamesh, the son of a mortal King and a goddess. According to Jodie Thind, the event producer, the Gilgamesh lounge is exclusive and extravagant and a perfect place to create an unforgettable experience.
